Education

Laura started to build up her communication skills academically at the University
of Applied Sciences in Gelsenkirchen/ Germany in ‘Journalism and Public
Relations’ in 2005. In the course of her bachelor studies she specialized in the Public Relations expert field. At the institute Laura was a member of the study group supported by the ‘Deutsche
Public Relations Gesellschaft` (‘DPRG’). Moreover, she is a student member of ‘DPRG’ in general.

After graduating in summer 2008 Laura took up her master studies at Leeds
Metropolitan University/ UK in ‘Public Relations’ to consolidate and deepen her capabilities and knowledge in the field of PR.

Work experience

Laura has been working as a freelancer for the daily newspaper ‘Rheinische
Post’ in Xanten/ Germany. Moreover, she was sitting in on classes at the daily newspaper ‘Welt
Kompakt’ and the weekend newspaper ‘Welt
am Sonntag’ in Duesseldorf/ Germany. Her journalistic abilities were deepened furthermore within her studies at a practical object with the financial newspaper ‘Handelsblatt’ and a voluntary workshop at the ‘RTL
Journalistenschule’ in Cologne/ Germany.

But whilst having specialized pretty early in the field of PR within her bachelors studies Laura focused mainly in the field of PR. She was working as an intern for the PR-agency ‘fischerAppelt’
in Duesseldorf/ Germany and the company ‘Evonik
Industries’ in Essen/ Germany at the Event Management Department and she was working for the company ‘Henkel’ in Duesseldorf/ Germany at the Internal Communications Department.
